ACSA Push-up Counter

Setup

  1. Phone sideways on the tripod, low (about knee height), level, side-on to the people.
  2. 2 people: lie in a row, one after the other (not side by side), both side-on. Person 1 = left half, Person 2 = right half. Stay in your half.
  3. Whole body in frame: head, hands, hips, knees and feet. Clear background.
  4. Start in the top (locked-out) position. Your lane shows READY ✓ when it sees you.
  5. Tap Calibrate (yellow), get down, do 1 slow, perfect rep. The phone says "Calibrated" and — with Hands-free on — counts you in by voice and starts by itself.

Rep = chest to floor, then full lockout, body straight the whole way. NO REP if: not deep enough, no lockout, hips sagging or piking, or knees bent. Nothing is uploaded — video stays on this phone and is gone when you reset or close the app.

Settings

Tracking model: MoveNet Thunder (accurate). The faster Lightning model was removed after it miscounted 1 of 5 reps on the 27 Sep test clip.

Rep rules (tune these in the proof test)

Lower = stricter. Shoulder height above the hands ÷ that person's straight-arm length. Only used if the person hasn't done a calibration rep.

After a calibration rep, a rep counts if the shoulder gets within this much of that person's own calibrated bottom. Lower = stricter.

Lower = stricter. Both lockout checks must pass.

Higher = stricter. 180° = dead straight.
